Four bedroom combinations for Spring

When it comes to my bedroom, I love changing things around. When I moved in I loved how white and crisp it was but after a few months I completely renovate it and now I am obsessed with the beige profile ( check here the before and after). An easy way however to change things around if you are tired in the bedroom, is use different combinations for sheets and blankets. And I know, this sounds like the most boring advice ever, but it really works for me. The combination I used for my bedroom today is different colors with sheets  ( all from Ellos quality premium line ), called Neely in White and Linbeige. Sunday tip : 20% all Day and Night creams on Ellos

I follow quite a few beauty bloggers, their tips are great when it comes to some tricks ( mix a little bit of illuminator with your day cream or foundation and the result is a much more luminous face that looks younger and dewy), but I also love when they share secrets I wouldn't otherwise know. For example , when it comes to most day creams did you know that generally the best creams follow the 20-60 rule? Always pay more than 20euro ( 200NOK) but less than 60euro ( 600NOK). Anything less is not good quality , anything more and you just pay for the brand. There can be some exceptions to that rule of course, but this little tip has saved me a lot of unnecessary costs and trouble. Not to mention a lot of doubt whether I treat my skin well or not. There are a few that have emerged as favorites over the year for me, Aesop is a staple in my routine and lately I just discovered Nuori ( all in very good range of price) , but if I have learned anything from blogging, is that I can trust my fellow beauty expert colleagues to do their job as well as I do for interior or lifestyle, and they have some favorites and staples in their routine that I have yet to try and I have been really looking forward to! This week Ellos has some of the day and night creams I have wanted to buy for 20% off, a really good deal especially if you don't travel often . My tip however? Duty free doesn't always carry all my favorites and I have found that a good balance between online deals and traveling is the best way to get the most value for money! Sundays Tip : Ellos Vintage

Wrapping Tip : Wax Paper

I am finally finished wrapping presents for Christmas and although mostly they are wrapped in a beautiful grey paper, I decided I needed a little bit of variation. I have been looking for brown wax paper everywhere (it is everywhere on pinterest right now) and in all unlikely places, I found it at Ellos! If you live in Oslo you can order until tomorrow and still have it before Christmas, if you are out of paper or you want a bit of variation, this waxed paper is perfect! 

As for ideas on how to wrap the presents, this year I kept it very simple, ribbons in mat colors tied in bows, and leather strings with eucalyptus for decoration ( have you seen my Eucalyptus Christmas wreath by the way?)

I tried to make a video on how I wrapped my presents , however I think the Youtube video where I learned how to do it explains it amazingly well , you can find it here. In less than 2 minutes you will learn how to wrap any box, without the need of a tape and without awkward edges with a single piece of paper, all in a perfect parcel like looking result. The video also explains how much paper is needed each time, much less than what usually is used and with an easy way to measure ( just roll your box a couple of times on the paper and you have your measurements). You can start by using tape of course, but I promise, after wrapping one or two you will find it is super easy to do without tape, it just wraps onto itself perfectly every single time!

A tip for you on a snowy day

Waking up today and seeing the first snow fall out of my window really made me appreciate staying in bed and working from in between my covers.
