Ingredients :
for the cake
10 Oreo cookies with vanilla cream filling
1/3 cup milk in room temperature
3/4 cup whipping cream
2 teaspoons sugar
for the chocolate frosting
1/2 cup whipping cream
4 oz chocolate, chopped
a few teaspoons of coconut flakes
Preparation :
for the cake
Prepare the vanilla filling by whipping your cream with the sugar until stiff and soft peaks form.
Pour the milk in a small bowl and dip each cookie for 2 or 3 seconds.
Line a long plate with parchment paper.
Using a big knife spread some of the whipping cream on each side of the cookie then stack them together in a line on the parchment paper.
Once you have used all the cookies cover the cake with the rest of the whipping cream.
Freeze for about 2 to 3 hours.
for the chocolate frosting
Pour the whipping cream in a small saucepan and bring to boil. As soon as it starts boiling remove the saucepan from the fire and add the chopped chocolate. Use a spoon to mix gently until it dissolves.
Wait for 5min for the chocolate to rest then pour some on top of the cake until its covered.
I found that its better if I do this step over and over again until I have a thick layer of chocolate all around the cake. So repeat the steps a few times. Freeze cake for 10min before applying more chocolate on the top.
Once you are satisfied cut the remaining chocolate from the sides so your cake resembles a log rather than a mountain mess and sprinkle some of the coconut on the top. Freeze again until you are ready to serve. Remove the cake 5 minutes before you serve from the freezer.
Enjoy!
